BELLEVIEW, Fla. (AP) - Sheriff's deputies in central Florida
fatally shot a man who fired on them during a pursuit.
The Citrus County Sheriff's Office says the 48-year-old man
fired at deputies who responded to a call at a residence before
dawn Monday. Officers from several agencies chased him into Marion
County, where he eventually was killed during a gunfight.
The man also shot at a Marion County school bus, but there were
no children on board and the driver wasn't hurt. No deputies were
injured, either.
The man's name hasn't been released.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating.
