Chachi Comes Home
Its a dog tale that lasted about ca-nine months.
A chaperone-less chihuahua who chased the open road....
Last July Chachi the Chihuahua went missing.
His owner Robert Bartman of High Springs had given up hope until he received a phone call a few ago...
Thank's to Chachi's micro chip he was located a thousand miles away from home in Middleton Ohio.
"They said, 'I found your dog Chachi,' and at first I thought it was a prank," Bartman says.
Chachi was flown back home to High Springs and reunited with Bartman last week.
For now, Chachi is just resting and taking some time to heal after his journey so far away from home.
The chihuahua is recovering from hook worm and has to get some teeth checked out at the vet, but Bartman says he should be back to himself in no time.
Bartman also says the nearly seven hundred dollar vet bill is well worth it and he is happy to have his best friend Chachi back.
