Dog Saves Woman's Life
It's not uncommon to think of a dog as "Man's Best Friend"... but how about "Man's Best Neighbor"?
When one woman fell 20 feet from her roof and broke her back... it was her neighbor's dog who came to her rescue.
Diane McAllister of Northwest Gainesville fell off her roof, crushed her vertebrae, lost feeling in her feet, and had to have surgery.
But despite all that... she says she's lucky.
And she has her four-legged neighbor Zoe to thank.
Zoe was in her home, several blocks away, when McAllister fell.
But her owner says somehow Zoe knew there was trouble and led her to her injured neighbor.
"I opened my eyes and the next thing I know Zoe's licking my face," Diane McAllister said.
"I'm thinking oh my gosh i'm so glad we came, I'm so glad I listened to her," Mary Shelton, Zoe's owner, said.
Doctors say since Zoe found her so quickly after the fall... Mcallister will be able to walk again.
