Published May 27th, 2009
It's a video competition in which students from several states around the country and Puerto Rico compete for the grand prize.
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences awarded students from Vanguard and Lake Weir High School the Student Award for Excellence.
The seniors, who are taking a TV production class, were awarded for two separate videos they wrote, shot and edited. This is actually Vanguard High School's second Student Award of Excellence. Last year they took home the trophy as well. In all, seven Florida schools received the award.
