Alachua Sheriff's Department Disaster Trailer

Published June 17th, 2009

A trailer that was once used to hold drugs, is now full of tires, air compressors, and generators. The Alachua County Sheriff's Department confiscated a trailer during a drug investigation and are now putting it to good use. The trailer would be sent out anywhere in Florida in the event of a natural disaster.
"We think it's really going to be a benefit to us because if we get deployed in an emergency situation we aren't going to have much time to get prepared. -Steve King, Fleet Manager
