A family of eight were on an afternoon driver when they spotted a car in Newnan's Lake.
They called 9-1-1 for help.
With the help of a boater, an Alachua County Sheriff's deputy found 52-year-old Anna Brown trapped inside the car.
The deputy pulled her out of the car. Joey Alston and his family watched the rescue.
Turns out, Alston and Brown grew up in the same neighborhood. The Alstons say they're glad they were able to help.
