Gainesville Gas Station Robbery Foiled
An employee at a Gainesville tire shop is getting the credit for preventing a robbery.
An armed gunman was hiding in some bushes outside of a gas station ready to rob the manager, when a passerby took notice...and took action.
Mike Napier works at Tire Kingdom, and he alerted employees inside Daily's when he saw someone lurking in the bushes. When the authorities arrived, they found 22-year-old Sharondell Roberson hiding outside the gas station.
She had a gun in her waistband and was wearing a mask.
Police say Roberson had an inside connection. A Daily's employee told Roberson when her manager would be taking a deposit to the bank. The employee, 44-year-old Aurora Davis, was also arrested. Both Roberson and Davis were taken to Alachua County Jail.
Roberson is charged with robbery with a weapon, and Davis is also charged with robbery.
