Law enforcement say the one robbery and the one attempted robbery happened within thirty minutes of each other. authorities say the dollar general, off of Northeast Jacksonville Road, was robbed around 9:15. There were two clerks on duty when an armed man entered and held them up. He also robbed two customers. The man fired two shots, but no one was injured. He then left the store in a dark colored vehicle and went north on Jacksonville Road.
Just thirty minutes earlier, law enforcement say a man ran into an Auto Zone off of Northeast 14th Street and pointed a gun at the clerk. When the clerk refused the man shot into the air, leaving a bullet hole in the roof, he left with no money. Authorities believe the two incidents may be connected.
In the mean time, authorities are looking for a black man, 6 feet tall, 170-180 lbs. He was last seen wearing a dark colored ballcap with writing or a design on it, a dreaded wig, a black shirt, light colored blue jeans and black shoes. Call authorities if you have any information.
