Robbery at First Federal Bank
A man approached the teller window of the Lake City First Federal Bank Tuesday morning (July 7) and stated through a note that he was robbing the bank, according to the Lake City Police Department.
Lake City police officers responded to the robbery in progress at the bank, located at 2571 U.S. 90 West, around 11 a.m.
Upon arrival, bank employees advised that a white male had just robbed the bank, according to police.
The teller stated that a white male had entered the bank through the front door and approached his teller window. The male suspect handed him a note, which stated he was robbing the bank and he did not want any dye packs.
According to the release, the teller said the note was long and he did not read it all.
The teller then gave the white male an undetermined amount of money from his cash drawer. The white male fled, got into a gray Chevrolet S10 truck and drove away.
The white male is said to be about 6'0-6'2 tall with brown hair. He was wearing a brown shirt and blue jeans.
