Gainesville Police Chief Candidates Meet the Community
Published August 11th, 2009
It was a day-long process: Interviewing police chief candidates started at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning with each one answering questions in front of a panel...
And it ended with a community meet-and-greet Tuesday night.
The candidates, all five of whom come from different backgrounds and have different levels of expertise, had one theme in common: Community policing.
Gainesville City Manager Russ Blackburn will have one-on-one interviews Wednesday with each of the candidates.
They will then tour Gainesville and GPD.
