Neighbors Arrested in Marijuana Grow House Bust
Most neighbors enjoy getting together for cookouts and barbecues, but three neighbors in Ft. White apparently enjoyed growing marijuana together.
A task force from the Columbia County Sheriff's office served a search warrant on a house on Southwest Newark Drive that was suspected of growing marijuana.
Officers found over 20 pot plants inside the house along with a specialized lighting and ventilation system. Police took Stephanie Price, 26, and Seth Shaffer, 20, into custody.
After seizing the plants and the equipment, officers went to the house next door to determine if the residents had any knowledge of the grow house. Cops subsequently discovered a growing operation in that house as well. Lionel Martinez, 25, was arrested, and over 60 plants were seized from his house.
All three neighbors are charged with the cultivation of cannabis, possession of more than 20 grams of pot and possession of drug paraphernalia. Each are being held at $30,000 bond.
