A registered sex offender faces new charges this week.
Police say 32-year-old Christopher Duncan just got out of prison late last year for drug-related charges. His criminal history includes a conviction for lewd and lascivious acts on a child under 16.
By this summer, detectives already had a warrant out for his arrest in a new rape case. A Gainesville woman claims he attacked her in late June.
Duncan is in the Alachua County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
