Local law enforcement continues their work today in the Chesser Island Landfill in Folkston, GA where Somer Thompson’s body was located late Tuesday afternoon.

Somer was last seen on Monday afternoon walking home from school. Authorities believe she got into a squabble and ran ahead of the other children walking with her. Today, officials are collecting evidence and sifting through many tons of debris delivered there from the Orange Park area.
