They are finding ways to mend a broken heart. Researchers in North Central Florida are teaming with colleagues around the country to find ways to repair heart cells, using cells taken from the patients bone marrow. In the Medical Spotlight, Dr. Carl Pepine of Shands at UF tells David Snyder about studies taking place right now that may prove that this procedure will help heart attack victims recover more completely and live a fuller life.
