A Missouri rape case has ties to North Central Florida as a man from Silver Springs is accused of raping two children in the 1980's.
A woman who knows the accused man... she grew up with Darrell Mohler living in her neighborhood... says she can't believe the charges against him.
72 year old Mohler of silver springs was arrested Friday night, accused of molesting two children.
And Felicia Akin says that comes as a shock to her because she trusted him around her children.
Five other relatives of the Mohler family were charged with several felonies in Missouri... including rape of a child younger than 12.
The victims say the abuse took place in Missouri in the '80s.
But Darrell Mohler's son Jeff told TV 20 that his father wasn't in Missouri when the rapes took place.
