Shands Patients Move

Sunday morning, patients, nurses and doctors all moved over to their new home, Shands Cancer Hospital. Staff began at 7 a.m., transporting patients from not only AGH, but from UF North and South campuses as well. The 500,000 square foot facility cost 390 million dollars and took 30 months to build. Standing eight stories high, the facility houses 192 beds, 48 ICU beds and 12 operating rooms.
