Four Putnam County residents were arrested on January 3, 2010, due to a narcotics investigation run by members of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office Drug/Vice Unit.

Investigators conducted a search warrant, and found a surreptitious lab inside a residence in East Palatka. The investigators also found manufactured methamphetamine, chemicals used to manufacture methamphetamine, and paraphernalia used for smoking methamphetamine within the home. It was determined that the owner, 46 year-old Tony Lee Williams, had removed the power meter from the residence in an effort to divert electricity.

The owner of the residence, Williams, his 16 year-old daughter, 45 year-old Ralph Michael Smith, 41 year-old Wendy Marx, and 33 year-old Michelle Gibson were found at the residence at the time the search warrant was executed. The four adults were arrested on the following charges.

Tommy Lee Williams was charged with manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, possession of chemicals used to manufacture a cont. substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a drug dwelling, and theft of electrical services. His bond was set at $4,520.00

Ralph Michael Smith was charged with possession of chemicals used to manufacture a controlled substance, violation of probation, and contempt of court. His bond was set at $5,008.00

Wendy Charlene Marx and Michelle Gibson were both charged with possession of chemicals used to manufacture a controlled substance. Marx's bond was set at $2,504.00. Glisson was also arrested on an active arrest warrant for violation of probation, and was booked into the Putnam County Jail without the benefit of a bond.

Williams' 16 year-old daughter was released to a family member.
