Lake City Police Investigate Fatal Shooting

Police are investigating a homicide Sunday after a man was fatally shot at a Lake City apartment Saturday night.
Just after 10 p.m. Saturday, police responded to apartment 102 on 3713 NW Archer Street after receiving reports of multiple gunshots in the area.
Police say Jeffrey Earl Stephens, 43, died on the scene from multiple gun shot wounds.
John Colyn Mullins told police that he and Stephens got into an argument, and that they both pulled out weapons and shot each other.
Police have not made any arrests at this time.
The State Attorney’s Office and F.D.L.E. Crime Scene are assisting the Lake City Police Department with this investigation.
