Millhopper Branch Library Set to Reopen Friday
Published February 22nd, 2010
With only a few days until the grand opening, staff and volunteers at the Millhopper Branch Library are busy putting books on shelves and finishing touches throughout the building. Other add-ons include a quiet reading area, expanded young adult section and children's wing.
"It's very exciting," said branch manager Sharon Jackson. "It's a little hectic. A little chaotic, but each day we put things in order and we're a lit bit closer to be ready."
The library has been closed for renovations since December 2008. The total project cost about $2.5 million taxpayer dollars that came from a library fund set aside for capital projects. The grand opening of the Millhopper Branch Library will be on February 26 at 2:30 p.m.
