North Central Florida Residents Brave The Cold Weather
Published February 13th, 2010
Temperatures were in the thirties Friday night and early Saturday morning, but that didn't stop North Central Florida residents from participating in some of the hottest events.
"This is the coldest I've been since last year when i was here," said Martha Wright, who attended the 2nd Annual Steinhatchee Fiddler Crab Festival.
No matter how bundled up you were or how close you got to the crabs, many people at the Steinhatchee Crab festival came out despite the cold weather. TV 20's Paige Beck braved the elements serving as grand marshall of the parade.
Back over in Gainesville, the situation wasn't much different for people, who were participating in the Five Points of Life relay Saturday morning.
