Students hold winter Olympics
Every two years the Olympics capture the attention of people from all over the globe, as nations compete for the title of World's best.
Teachers at Brentwood Elementary School are using the games to encourage kids to strive to be the best version of themselves.
Todays blustery weather gave students the perfect setting to kick off their two week long winter Olympic program..
In lieu of their regular physical education time, students in every grade level will represent 18 different countries in an Olympic competition.
During recess they'll experience events, not typical to Florida..
During the program students will learn about the different countries they are representing in the games.
Brentwood coach Crystal Burton says the Olympics not only help kids get fit, but encourages good sportsmanship and builds character.
