On Saturday, the gators men's basketball team will be taking on the Mississippi State bulldogs at 1:30 p.m. in the O-dome. The gators are currently 16 and 6 overall, and 5-3 in the SEC. They successfully won against Alabama Thursday night on the road... winning a close one 66-65 rebounding from their one-point loss against Tennessee.
You can also go to the 24th annual Hoggetowne Medieval Faire on saturday, if you have yet to go. Doors open at 10 a.m. Travel to the middle ages through more than 160 artisans and crafters. Get some hearty food and drinks as well. Go to the Alachua County fairgrounds to get in on all of the action.
On Sunday, the Colts and the Saints will battle it out at the Sun Life Stadium to be the very best team in the NFL! Super Bowl kickoff is set for 6:25 p.m. Get with your family and friends, cookout, go to a bar or restaurant and enjoy the game! The showdown will air on CBS.
You can also catch a movie on Sunday if the superbowl doesn't interest you. Dear John is new in theaters. This movie is about a young soldier who falls for a college girl. Savannah Curtis was on spring break when she first met John, who was home on temporary leave. For the smitten soldier it was practically love at first sight. Over the next seven years, each deployment seems more treacherous than the last and the love letters that Savannah sends to John are one of the only things that keep him going. See what happens to these two love birds by going to the movies.
