Garage Fire Damages Gainesville House

Alachua County Fire Rescue responded to a house fire early Monday morning.
Firefighters arrived at the Gainesville house, which is located at 3315 NW 46 Ave. at approximately 6:30 a.m. Monday. They say the fire started in the garage and attic.
No one was injured in the fire. But, the family's two cats died in the blaze.
The house is located about four blocks away from the proposed new Fire Station 8.
