Hawthorne Man Dies In Motorcycle Crash

A Hawthorne man died Saturday evening in a motorcycle crash.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers said Stephen Heyser, 55, was traveling north on NE 127th St., which is about four miles west of Salt. Springs, at 6 p.m. when he lost control of his motorcycle while going around a curve on the two-lane road.
According to the FHP, Heyser was ejected from his 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was airlifted to Shands UF, where he was pronounced deceased.
FHP troopers say Heyser was wearing a helmet.
