Local Marine Killed In Afghanistan

Family members confirmed today a local soldier was killed in Afghanistan.
Marine Lance Corporal Philip Clark, 19, was on a routine patrol on Tuesday around 7:30am Eastern time in the town of Marjah when he was fatally wounded.
Though he was flown to a military trauma center, Philip succumbed to his wounds.
His father, Michael Clark of Gainesville, has flown to Dover Delaware to retrieve the body.
Philip Clark was a graduate of Buchholz high school in Gainesville.
