F-C-A-T Scores Released Tuesday

F-C-A-T scores for Math, Reading, Science and Writing tests were released for various grade levels today. In Alachua county, the scores are up compared to last year. The biggest gain came from 5th grade scores. Math scores rose 6 points from 57% to 63%. In reading, the percentage was up 2 points and in science scores went up by 5 points from 48% to 53%. Elementary and middle school grades will not be available for at least three weeks. Due to the changes in the grading formula, high school grades will not be available until November. Individual scores are expected to be released next week.
