Republican Forum
Published July 31st, 2010
North Central Florida residents turned out to hear what candidates had to say at a Republican Forum. Politicians took to the stage for a debate styled format. The event hosted big Republican figures from Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum to Florida Speaker of the House Larry Cretel. Organizers say it's important for people to know where candidates stand.
"If we can involve them in the process and they can help get the right officials elected then we can have a better form of government," says event organizer Sam McConnell.
The forum took place at Westport High School in Ocala. The primary election is August 24th. To see what brought one family out to the event, click on the video on the right side of the page.
