Published August 11th, 2010
A Gainesville man is behind bars this evening for stealing over a million dollars of investment money from clients and friends. Fifty-five year old Robert Gallman has been in the financial investment business for 30 years. The Florida Office of Financial Regulation and Alachua County Sheriff's detectives with the financial crime unit begin looking into the matter a year ago when one of the victims complained. Investigators say, "Gallman would move the money between accounts and use the cash for his benefit, purchasing vehicles and getting cash advances to pay for his living expenses."
