Salvation Army
Published August 26th, 2010
The Salvation Army is having to defend themselves after they say someone started a rumor about them. Like many organizations The Salvation Army offers shelter, clothes, social service programs and holiday assistance to those in need. They serve free food as well, but recently rumors have been swirling around that the Salvation Army might start charging two dollars a meal starting September 1st. Many of the people who stand in line at the Salvation Army heard a worker make an announcement last Friday, this past Monday and Tuesday. Major Don Wildish, commanding officer with the Salvation Army says, "This is not true and the rumor going around is making them look bad."
