Beauty Haven's Farm Fundraiser
A fundraiser was held on Saturday to raise funds for a horse rescue farm located in Morriston. The Batchelor family has been running the farm since 2006 and care for 36 horses. It's a full time job for the family of three, but its extremely rewarding.
To afford the upkeep of so many horses, the family applies for grants, takes donations, and since last Saturday, hold fundraisers. The fundraiser was put on by volunteers who were inspired by the dedication of the Batchelor family. The day was filled with different obstacles for riders and their horses. Owners from all over Florida came to support the cause.
The president of Beauty Haven's Farm and Equine Rescue, Theresa Batchelor, says its terrible the condition some of the horses are in when they rescue them. Theresa hopes that after the fundraiser they will be able to continue to provide for all the horses at their farm.
