Hobie, the Great Horned Owl visits TV20
Published September 26th, 2010
For 15 years, the Ocala Wildlife Sanctuary has rescued hundreds of owls and birds of prey.
Currently the center, run by Keith Belisle and Kenneth Lane houses almost 40 owls, some of which are endangered species, along with ducks, geese, exotic birds and even a key deer. All of these animals were abused or neglected.
Live from TV 20's studios we spoke with Keith and Kenny about their mission. We also met Hobie, a great horned owl whose wing was once chopped off with a machete. Hobie is now a poster owl against animal abuse.
