Huge Veterans Day Exhibit in North Central Florida
Published November 7th, 2010
Veteran's Day officially is on Thursday, but some veterans and their families are already celebrating. The Florida Carriage Museum and Resort in Weirsdale is the sight of the Guardians of Freedom Exhibit.
The six day exhibit which wraps up Wednesday, is one of the largest in the nation. Each day of the event gives special honors to veterans of a different war. Visitors can see everything from a civil war outpost, military vehicles, and a purple heart. Hundreds of volunteers dress up and talk history. For more information on the last three days of the event, visit www.fcmr.org.
