New Lieutenant for High Springs Police Department

Police Chief James Troiano swore in Bill Benck as the newest lieutenant for the High Springs Police Department. Before swearing him in, Troiano highlighted Benck's esteemed history in law enforcement. Prior to the High Springs Police, Benck served 28 years with the Gainesville Police Department.
Approaching his 30 year term and eligible to retire, he started thinking about his next career move. That's when the opportunity for lieutenant with High Springs Police became available. Benck says he is honored to be a part of such a great department.
Benck's family as well as officers from GPD were all present at the ceremony.
