Alachua county teacher Dr. Don Devito got a call from the CEC or "Council for Exceptional Children." He had been chosen as their national "Teacher of the Year."

Devito attributes this honor to a unique curriculum he developed in 2006, "DIScovering ABILITIES Online," as well as his students at the Sidney Lanier School in Gainesville, and a group of musicians from around the world.
