What if you could be entertained and raise money for a worthy cause? Tonight at 7 the sixth annual "Share The Cure" fundraiser is taking place at the Phillips Center in Gainesville. Join the Keira Grace Foundation in it's efforts to provide hope and life to children with cancer in the Dominican Republic. The event will be hosted by our own Dave Snyder. If you'd like to travel back in time a few decades, head on over to Buchholz High School tonight. "Shout! The Mod Musical" is hitting the main stage at Buchholz. The show follows five girls as they experience life in the 60's. The fashions....and the music, featuring hits like "To Sir With Love", "Downtown" and "Son of A Preacher Man," will bring back memories from the 60's. Tonight in High Springs is opening night for High Springs Community Theatre's production of "Sherlocks Last Case". The show centers around a death threat against our friend Sherlock Holmes. He ends up trapped in a dark cellar....held captive not by an enemy....but by the good Doctor Watson. It seems Watson has come to resent being second fiddle to Holmes. The show is a mix of suspense and humor....with a surprise ending. You can catch "Sherlocks Last Case" tonight and Saturday night at 8, with a matinee Sunday at 2. If you like good barbecue, you'll want to journey to Bradford County this weekend. Santa Fe College's Boots-N-BBQ Cook-off and scholarship fundraiser will be taking place at the Bradford County Fairgrounds. In addition to the BBQ (with more than 70 professional barbecue teams vying for prize money) there will be entertainment, things for the kids....and...even more food. You might want to check out the desert filled "Sweet Tooth Booth". Finally...With Valentines Day approaching, you might want to get your loved one a furry companion. Alachua County Animal Services is hosting it's "Come Fall in Love Adoption Event" Saturday. You'll have your chance to adopt an animal at special prices. There will be food....and professional dog trainers will be there to give you advice.
