D-Day Group Meeting Anniversary
Published March 10th, 2011
It was one of the decisive battles of the world and every day fewer people can say they were there. A group of D-Day veterans from North Central Florida meets every month to remember the sacrifice. Today marks 15 years since they began getting together. The group at one time had more than sixty members but is now down to about 20. An estimated 1,200 D-Day vets pass away every day. If you are a survivor of D-Day and fought in the mission from June 6 to July 28, 1944, you can contact Bryan Walker at 352-372-9685 for more information.
