Published April 22nd, 2011
If you build it, they will come. Thats the dream of people finishing the first phase of Innovation Square in Gainesville. The project took one more step towards completion. The whole project is expected to be completed in 10 years but today people got a loot at the first building called Florida Innovation Hub at UF. The building is being funded by a $8.2 million federal grant and $5 million from UF. The 48,000 square foot facility will be an incubator for the start-up companies. Once everything is finished, the project is expected to create 3,000 high tech jobs and bring millions into the local economy.
