Sunday evening a man robbed the Chevron Gas Station on Silver Springs Blvd in Ocala at gunpoint. According to Marion County Sheriff's Department Spokesperson, Judge Cochran, the suspect ran into the Amadeus Hotel across the street from the gas station after the robbery. Witness accounts led authorities to the hotel. Marion County Sheriff's Deputies, the SWAT team, as well as Ocala Police were on scene late Sunday night. Deputies were trying to make contact with the suspect who they believed was inside one of the hotel rooms. It was unknown if the suspect was alone in the room. The name of the suspect had not been released.
