Mid West Devastation Makes An Impact Here
As the death toll climbs from storms and tornadoes in the Mid West, people across North Central Florida are looking for ways to help those affected and to be prepared themselves.
For one local woman, the devastation in Joplin, Missouri is very personal.
Christy Hollis will be accepting donations to take to her family and other victims in Joplin at the Winn Dixie in Chiefland from 8 AM to Noon Thursday.
They have enough bottled water, but still need the following items: Large bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash, hairbrushes, razors, deodorant, laundry soap, chapstick, flashlights and batteries, cell phone chargers and pre-paid cellphones, baby powder, lotion, plasticware, D-batteries, napkins, pullups, cleaning supplies.
