Kids Get Paws-itive Reinforcement With Dogs
Published July 7th, 2011
Alachua County Animal Services has teamed up with the Eastside Community Center Summer Camp in Gainesville to teach kids about how to be a responsible pet owner.
Most kids want them, but then when it comes to actually taking care of a pet, sometimes young ones don't always know how to help out.
Alachua County Animal Services says with a little paws-itive reinforcement that can change.
Today animal services met up with participants in Gainesville's Eastside Summer Camp to teach them about the do's and don'ts of dogs.
It's a public outreach effort that helps kids take better care of their own animals, and learn about responsibility along the way.
