School Board Urges Parents To Register Kids
The first day of school can be stressful for parents and kids alike without the added inconvenience of having to take care of last minute registration.
Alachua County School Board has asked people to do their homework before the start of the school year.
Classes begin on August 22nd and if you are new to town or switching schools students will need to register at their zoned school.
Registration can be done from now until the first day of school but the school board warns if you wait until the last minute, you'll face long lines and students could miss out on classes they want to take.
Administrators need people to register as quickly as possible so they can get an accurate count of how many students will be enrolled at their school and adhere to state wide class size laws.
For information on the appropriate paper work parents need to bring with them and information on the process visit Alachua County School Board.
