Alachua Needs Half a Million for "Project Legacy"

Published August 31st, 2011

Money is tight for most municipalities. But the City of Alachua is hoping to receive half a million dollars for a new tourism project.
It's similar to Newberry's Nations Ballpark.
Some money is available, but Alachua County Commissioners will have to buy into the project first.
