Heat Affects Horses

You probably felt the soaring heat index today, and you're not the only one.
High temperatures and humidity can be truly dangerous for the many horses who call North Central Florida Home. Like one severely neglected horse from Chiefland named Polo.
There are 85 horses at the sanctuary run by non-profit Horse Protection Association of Florida. Silver says they have to be careful on days like today.
