Adoption Event for Haven Acres Cats
Published October 9th, 2011
It's been a while since we last heard from the hundreds of cats rescued from the Haven Acres cat sanctuary four months ago. 240 were adopted in late august during a marathon adoption event. But 50 cats that were too young or still too sick for a new home at the time, got their chance today.
There are still cats waiting for homes at the temporary shelter set up by the Humane Society of the United States when their rescue efforts first started. Organizers hope to hold a similar event next weekend to give every furry feline a chance at a new home.
