Alachua Elementary Students Honor Veterans
Published November 11th, 2011
They might not be old enough to vote, but the students at Alachua Elementary are old enough to understand the sacrifices that veterans make.
Thursday at Alachua Elementary School students of all ages paid tribute to veterans during a program called "Proud to be an American."
Most of the kids have lived in a country at war their entire lives, which is why teachers say it's important to teach them about the crucial role servicemen and women played in our nation's history.
