Blood Donations Down In Marion County
Published December 13th, 2011
Many non-profit organizations are feeling the pinch of the economy as less donations are coming in, and its even effecting some blood centers.
Compared to last year the Florida Blood Center in Marion County is seeing a decrease in donors using their mobile buses that head out to job sites during blood drives. December is normally a slow time for blood centers and currently many blood types are at very low levels.
For those who are able to donate in December the Florida Blood Center is offering movie tickets and gift cards.
