Gainesville City Elections

Published January 31st, 2012

Voters in Gainesville have made decisions about two city commission races but voting isn't over. Yvonne Hinson-Rawls won a decisive victory in the District One race with 54 percent of the vote. There's no final decision on the At-Large District One Race since none of the candidates earned more than 50 percent of the vote. Former Commissioner Lauren Poe and Former State Public Service Commissioner Nathan Skop will meet in a runoff election.
