School Bus Brawl: Video Released
Parents and students alike are outraged by the violent actions of a group of teens who beat a classmate unconscious while riding the bus to Liberty Middle School in Ocala.
The disturbing video of the fight was released by the State Attorney's Office. Several middle schoolers are seen jumping the 13-year-old girl, throwing punches, pulling her hair, and kicking her until she falls to the ground, apparently unconscious. The victim's mother told us she is outraged.
"It was anger and tears that went through my mind, Carolyn Carrera told TV20. "To watch your child beat up like that and you can't do anything about it."
Seven children involved were originally charged with felonies, but those charges were downgraded to misdemeanors by a Marion County Judge just this week.
The pre-teens were kicked out of Liberty Middle School and will have to attend an alternative school. The children are scheduled for another court appearance on February 14th.
