Paynes Prairie Bison
Published February 19th, 2012
TV20 was the first to confirm the removal of bison yesterday after we spoke with the owner of the company hired by the state to remove up to 100 of them. The trappers were back out today gathering another 13 bison. Much controversy has surrounded the issue since it first became a problem more than a year ago. The buffalo are now being taken to a farm in High Springs and the owner told us that the bison will not be slaughtered.
