Sheriff's Results from Horse Ranch Explosion
Published February 16th, 2012
Blunt force and thermal injuries are the cause in the explosion that killed a horse and an employee at a horse rehab center in Ocala. Last Friday at the Kesmarc Farms Center, Erica Marshall was taking a horse in for treatment in a hyper-baric chamber. While inside, the horse started to kick inside the oxygen filled chamber, exposing raw metal..and creating sparks that in turn caused the explosion. Investigators in Marion County have closed this case.
